I saw the movie with a friend not too long ago. I completely understand the plot, but i dont understand one thing. Why would proof that Jesus had a descendant ruin Christianty? or prove that it isnt true? I really do not get the movie, although it was fun to watch.

I've never wanted to see that movie. Since I'm Christian I don't believe in myth that Jesus have married or have any children. I only believe what the Bible has stated. That movie only wastes your time and money, I know it's only a movie but it has sparked debates on Vatican.

I am a Christian too and I read the book and want to see the movie. For no other reason than entertainment.
As far as vatican debates - they could use a little shaking up.

I think that if it were true that jesus had a wife and child and that his bloodline lived on that it would make people not believe what they read in the bible. Who knows whats true. I just got done watching the divinci code movie and it was really good. A bit confusing though. I liked angels and demons better. I love tom hanks he is such a good actor. The actress in the movie Audrey Tautou did a great job with her acting as well although this is the first movie that I have seen that she is in I believe. She is very beautiful.
