your family or your lover?

A person should never have to choose between the people they love, both the parents and the boyfriend or girlfriend need to give the person the room they need to make their own choices and do what they feel in their heart but be there for them if they need them and don't say I told you so! Luckily I've never had to make a choice like this but if I did I would purposely go with the one that wasn't making me make the choice in the first place.

well monalizra it would depend on what the problem is and why my parents dislike this person...but if I was of legal age I wouldn't hesitate to tell my parents that I really do love them but I also love my partner so I am going to go with him and to continue loving your parents also...Family will always get over it and they shouldnt chose who you spend your life with, unless of course you are not of age to leave home then you need to abide by yuour parents rules...
