Politicians need to stop doing what is best for their parties, the lobbyists they are being paid by, and themselves, and start what is doing best for the country for the long run. Splitting every American into one of two groups, Liberal or Conservative; Republican or Democrat, is impossible. Doing what the people like you for now, such as cutting taxes during a war, and doing what the people will congratulate you for in the future are two completely different things.

Good luck with that one!. I my self am am registered independant so I can claim niether liberal or conservative. But if someone was truely liberal, A) He/she wouldn't want to be tied down to a public office. B) It seems that most people in the political community are too closed minded to ever even nominate an extreamly liberal candidate. finally C) Why would a true liberal want to become "The Man" that he has been fighting against?
