Well, it's still quite normal here -as the saying goes!;) The economy dropping, the political struggles and the left and right traffic are all the same!;) Maybe you should inform your relatives then, before you come home. For sure they will give you a warm welcome and have a celebration with a bang!;) Should I ready the Band?!:)

Thanks, Raijin! I'm sure there's a lot of things that I missed since I went home last August 2005. I miss halo-halo so much and the ice candy too. I miss the buko salad, halaya, pancit bihon, puto, suman and the likes. Can't wait!

Thank you, Bosing. The thing that most excites me is that I'm going home not for definite period of time. That's right, I'm not coming back to Thailand. Don't know what's in store for me when I get home but I'm really excited.

Philippines is a nice country. I'm proud to be a Filipino. I am from Cebu and studying at the University of Cebu-LM. Indeed, for me, Cebu is the best place to stay in the country. Then, Welcome Home and have a nice homecoming. Filipino hospitality and warmth is really one of a kind and for sure you'll be met with warm hugs and smiles in your coming. Philippines is indeed a nice place and it's nice to know that you still didn't feel ashamed of your/our country. Once again, "Welcome Back"!!!

I think the latest happening here is the issue regarding James Yap and Kris Aquino. James Yap is a professional basketball player whie Kris Aquino is a famous host/actress here in the Philippines. The issue is about James Yap making a girl pregnant. I think the whole country is watching this right now.

I see a Buddha behind you. Are you in Thailand right now? I know, I have missed Panagbenga, that's one of the things I've been wanting to see all these years. Nevertheless, I still like to visit Baguio. Thanks for the recommendation.

Nothing seems special here, EDSA People Power 1 celebration is not same like before just like an ordinary day. Maybe because of political condition here in our country, our people become jaded of commemorating it since those persons behind it are now against each other. The sincerity of its meaning fades away. Our national boxing icon Manny Paquiao halt his plan to enter politics due to the sentiments of our countrymen disagreeing that ambition of him.

Of course there are a lot of special stuff from the Philippines, Abednego. You will only realize that once you've been away from the country. I can't exchange the Philippines with the most modern or most developed countries in the whole universe.

Aside from the elections in May? The biggest thing happening is the issue about Kris Aquino and James Yap. The people here are too busy discussing these two issues that i don't think there's room for anything else. Showbusiness has also crossed over into politics and vice versa so don't be surprised when you see actors/actresses campaigning for positions as well. Students are on their final leg of the school year so they're busy reviewing for exams or practicing for graduation. So by the time you get here, it will be vacation time and the beaches will be full of people.

Naku, actors/actresses joining politics, it's their right. The only thing that bothers is me is that they spend too much on flyers and brochures but not giving anything to the destitute who really need help.

It'll be good to have you back though I don't find the elections to be interesting. I'd come to hate politics in our country. How long have you been out of the country? Maybe you could settle back in :)

Thank you for the warm welcome, Pelo. I've been here in Thailand for almost 6 years. Came here in May 2001. Miss home so much. Settle in? Let's see. :-D

politics in the Philippines is still dirty as ever...But you know, Philippines has always been an exciting country and a beautiful one. It has a lot to offer right? I think you were able to prove that yourself. I am working here in Davao City. And perhaps it would be a great idea if you'll include in your future plan to visit Davao. It is a great city. Terrific! The cleanest city I've ever visited so far. Goodluck to you and Godbless!
