Is the boss always right?

Have you ever been cried at by your boss? Have you been treated wrong, but you kept silence only because this is your boss? I had a boss who cried at his colleagues by any reason. As I worked closely with him as his assistant, we had quarrels more than other employees. With time, I got accustomed to quarrel with him - the thing I never did with anyone, I used to think of myself as of a very peaceful person. I used to cry at nights because I felt very offended and unhappy. Why couldn't he just say in simple words what he wanted, why to cry? I worked at that company for about 2 years and I ran away as soon as I found a new job. So what guys do you think? Is the boss always right? Has a man the right to cry at a woman even if he's her boss?

I had a problem very similar to that. I was a manager for a very popular restaurant. My boss would scream at me if one of the kids working, had a cash drawer than was .10 off. I mean thats not a lot. 10 cents is almost harmless. But he would say that it adds up over time. It does, and I understand that. That man was so rude. He could never talk to anybody about anything. He would always scream about everything. After about 3 years, I decided that I was quitting becasue I just couldn't handle it anymore.

It's so hard to work with rude people, especially if they're bosses. It's hard to keep your self-esteem. Thank you for your reply.

Right, employees should let their bosses know when they're wrong and do it in a quiet, but confident manner. I'm sorry I didn't do it with that man.

I just want to put some point here, when your boss say something, he/she got some different thinks in his mind and ofcourse that we are not aware of the same thing, and because of which we might feel that he/she is doing a worthless task, which might be worth in his/her eyes. and ofcourse there might be some instances where you might have to correct your boss, but it should be in a manner that it should not hurt him, because in the end he is your boss and believe me no boss can take that. Believe me yelling, hurting words from you boss, or showing anger they are all symbolize weakness, that means your boss don't know how to handle the situation, if you ask me i would rather say that one boss should rule there subordinate, there junior should praise him like anything for the way he works, the way he handles the situation and that the only way a boss can earn a respect in there juniors mind, and unless and untill if the team is not happy no one can be happy.
