I thought he was a girl!!!

I just realized yesterday that one of my friends on myLot is a guy!!! I've had this person on my friends list since early on and I guess I didn't pay much attention in the profile, or maybe I thought the person in the pictures was the husband??? But in one of his discussions yesterday, it became very evident that my "friend" was a guy. I feel pretty darned stupid now. Sometimes the discussions don't make it clear whether the person is male or female, but usually you can tell.
Would you tell this person you thought he was a girl??? I think we'd both get a laugh out of it, but I'd hate to offend him also.

That's most of the problems I have encountered here on mylot. People do not give some information that would be useful fo us to distinguish their genders, or even give their proper age. Many of them are kind of playing with their profiles, especially on usernames and avatars that does not match preferences. At first, I got annoyed by them, but know I only try to laugh at them and leave them..

I tend to be forward and upfront with people, so I expect the same - although I know I wont always get that. I know people will be misleading intentionally, but I blame myself for this one, I just don't think I paid attention...

I would say... just leave it. He might probably think you are a guy instead too. LOL :P
And to start with, you might not even know if he is truly a guy - even if he said so. Till you meet him in real life and verify his identity and gender, anything is possible! :P

It did get me wondering too if people have my gender correct??? From some of my discussions it's very clear, but others could go either way for me too.
