I am hoping to have a booth at the local craft fair and farmer's market and am looking for any suggestions from people that have done this. I don't know what to expect as far as sales go. What are some things that sell well? Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I know from selling my crafts at craft fairs in the past that you definitely want to cater to the season and upcoming holidays. I sell a lot of hats before Christmas, but not many during the rest of the year. I make crocheted roses before Valentine's Day, and those sell like crazy. It iss important not to get too tied to a single holiday or season. For example, don't make too much stuff in red and green with Christmas designs, because it will only sell during a small portion of the year. Think about what sort of stuff you would be looking for at that time of year, and you will likely do well.

I sell items that i have arounf the house a lotof times. Also go to yard sales and if you see something you like ask if the will take less. My biggest seller is baby toys at flea- markets. I have been doing flra markets for over 20 years. Also find items at yard sales that you would buy at at flea market. when pricing your items make them affordable. Make prices high enough so you can come down on the price if they ask. where i live fishing equiemt is best selers here for men.. cute nick nacks for the ladies.
