Do you have trouble saying "I love you"?

At first I did. It was way back during my high school days wherein i was so into this girl. I liked her a lot and eventually, I fell inlove with her. We were very close as friends and i was afraid to tell her the truth since our friendship may fell apart. But i still continued saying "I love you" to her. She was my close friend before. And now, our friendship is totally over. We never talked ever since.
