Why people who are in love tend to pay less attention to their parents?

Well I just can't understand why this situation happens? I don't have my own experience but I'm talking after observing the people around me who happen to be my siblings and friends. Your parents raise you up for about like 20 years and then there comes this one man in your life and you put him in number 1 and everybody else are next including your parents. I hope I will never do that to my parents. I never know if I will fall in love but if I do I hope I won't do that.

I believe that depends on the situation and a little bit on loyalty. First off how does the parents feel about the boyfriend (or girlfriend)? Does the parents make their child feel guity about going out with their new guy (gal)? Or make them miserable? Is this relationship brand new? Because if it is they are probably trying to learn about their new love (or whatever they call it these days).

From my observation doesn't matter if it's a new relationship or established for quite some time, it is still the same. Even if the parents have accepted the relationship it is still the same.
