Jal are called "Studio wonders". I love their songs for the immense clarity in rendering and the nice strings they play. But, when I got my first chance to see their stage performance, I was shocked to say the least. Farhan was loosing his tone and suur every other line, he was getting off pitch and breathing in between and to make it worse, Goher sings in between which was simply horrible. I lost all the image I had for them after seeing that. But they have done marvellous job in their CD tracks, maybe they have good sound engineers.
But when you talk about Atif, he has a very good control over his voice and has range and versatility. He does sing well on stage but his orchestra and background scores are poor that makes his CD tracks little bit worser. Also, his voice overshadows the background which should not happen.
Regarding the voice, Atif has a very emotional and different voice, which Farhan has a soothing, soft and typical Pakistani voice. I think Atif stands out, because many others have Farhan's same voice.

nah..if u compare them live.....atif's way better than listening too farhan live......n Gohar.....he can't sing.....!!! buh farhan's voice is more melodious n sweet n atif's shrilling..........Shouts.......
