Need recommendation for a personal information manager 2 help organize $$info

Awhile back I saw that oldbuddy recommended Treepad for a personal information manager, but I am still open to suggestions for something easy to use to organize information. For two months I have been pasting moneymaking programs into notepad in my daily journals (dated text files), but there's got to be a better way. I could make more money if I am more organized. I have vast amount of resources collected but I need to be able to pull what I need instantly without having to do a search or totally forgetting the resources I collected.
