There are a lot of changes that happened to me since joining mylot. Here's my list about the best thing mylot did for me: 1. Earnings...alright, if your purpose is to earn more money here, then I suggest you need to stick your face 24 hours a day in your computer to reach your goal. 2. Sharing...this is what I really like here. I can post whatever I want. My problems, feelings, happiness, my experiences from the past which I know will benefit mylotters. 3. Support and concern...imagine having people from all over the world going the extra miles to show their 100% support and the way they voiced out their concerns to me. I'm overwhelmed. 4. Gain friends...eventhough I haven't seen nor meet my "online friends" personally, but they are the kind of friends that inspired me to stay here. 5. Gain knowledge...this is truly one great site that helps clear my perception of every details posted here. I was able to broaden up my horizons and looked through the lives of each members. I highly recommended this site for people who needed to boost up their mind. Now, here's the worst thing about mylot: 1. Rude and offensive remarks...there is nothing more annoying than seeing those remarks intruding my discussions. They're messing the beauty of mylot. 2. Duplicate discussions...desperate people who tried to copy your own masterpiece. I can understand if the discussion they posted are unintentional or just happened to have the same theme. But mylotters are intelligent people. We will know right away which one is the original and which one is the imitator. 3. Addiction...this is certainly one kind of addiction that is incurable. Agreed?

I agree that Mylot has some good qualities and bad. You only need to take what you want from Mylot and leave the rest behind. As far as rude comments, these types of people really have nothing better to do than try to stir up "internet trouble" They exist on almost every interactive site and are deemed "Internet Thugs" As with any aspect in life, take the things you care about, the good, the valuable and store those things.. all the rest let be washed away with the incoming tide. You seem like a good soul, don't let the negativity get you down.

You're right. I love the fact that I have learned from this site and 'met' so many great people. But it bothers me when people are deliberately rude in the discussions we post. Having a rational conversation is the goal, but some just fly off the handle! And when people add inappropriate tags - that is just tacky.

That's one thing I should had added too. I've been around long enough to realize that people tend to forget the meaning of respect. :)

I completely agree with you! I think MyLot is actually reflective of the world we live in, albeit it's online and we still have our anonymity. Different types of people -- the good, the bad, the ugly -- show up both online and offline. The good thing about the bad and the ugly is that you do not really have to face them and it's easier to ignore them :)

charms, this is one of the best discussions I have seen! I love all of your observations! They are simply fantastic! So, yes, I'd say I agree.
