I invest in stocks combined with options. Mostly i trade in Dutch stocks (Philips,ASML,ING,TomTom) on de Euronext stock-market. Patience and a lot of reading can help you to make a nice profit on the stock-markets. You can use options to secure your stocks or use options to trigger your profits. This is a very nice discussion. In the worths of Big Arnold S.: I will be back.

Options, for a non-expert may be too risky. Well I've tried and I just lost a lot. Just short sell haha. But seriously speaking, research first before purchasing stocks. No one knows exactly what's the right strategy to reap profits all the time so don't depend on your emotions, just always have the right attitude like having a lot of patience and discipline.

Options could be too risky for an expert too when he are going too far. The right attitude and the knowledge what options, stocks or whatever be is more important.

I have traded stock options for the past 2 years and believe me it's a tough but enriching experience. Picking up the skills by attending a options seminar 2 years ago was just the beginning. The learning only began when I threw myself into the market with real money. During this the process I picked up lots of experiences, most of the time jolted awake by those expensive, silly, amateurish mistakes that I wonder whether other beginner traders would also encounter. After 2 years I'm still not giving up. I've learned to be humble and to learn from my mistakes. I'm still refining my skills each & every day. I guess this is the way to go longer in this journey. I invest in stocks during more then 20 years already,I do my own research for that. My sister bought 20 years ago a stock just because it sounds so good and a stock because there were recommendations on it,she put in both stocks about 600 €,we are 20 years later and the stock she has bought because of the good name are now more then 13000 €,the stock she has bought on the recommendation are now about 2000 € . She still owns both stocks.
