Bangkok tour guide

Don't bother with a tour guide. You can always hire a tuk-tuk driver to take you around... the ones who hang out around Khao San Rd. speak English, but are looking to rip you off. If you play the game and don't get sucked into buying ANYTHING, you might still make out on a good deal for a day. There are plenty of tourist maps around and the Thai people are more than helpful. I had a few give me directions even when I was going in the right direction.
