dutch refuge children in darlington during the war years (1939- 1945)

i am trying to find out about dutch children staying in darlington i think they where refugees. my mother looked after one. i have a photo of him , also a photo of a group of children taken outside bank top station.would like any imformation about them if any one knows.

It might be worth doing a search on the local newspapers website (http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk) as they do a weekly series about local history and might have covered it at some point. If not it will give you contact details of people you could ask for more information.
