so i just spoon fed kaylee tonight, shes only 2 months old, but i wanted to try it. she didnt know what to do with it, but it got it out of my system on wanting to try it. so maybe ill try in another 2 weeks and see how she will take it. i know people are soooo against feeding them early, but i dont care. many babies are fed ceral at birth, and are still living.

My son was eating cereal by 6 weeks, he was eating all I could put into him, but he kept losing weight and crying to eat constantly. I was nursing him at first, he cried, doc said supplement with 2 oz formula at every feeding, this was 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Come back in a week. By the time I want back he was getting 6 oz formula plus my nursing him about every 3 hours and losing weight. I went to 8 oz every 3 hours plus nursing him to maintain his weight, she said too much formula was not good, and to try water. (He hated it.) I gave him rice cereal, he loved it. By 8 weeks he knew what a spoon was, and definitely loved his cereal. He was now gaining weight, I was still nursing, he was also eating about 40 oz of formula a day. He grew to be healthy and happy and not over weight at all, no allergies. He is 6'2" and about 215 pounds. Each baby is different.

I dont say that feeding cereal at an early age is bad, it depends to the system of the baby. Some babies cant digest the food easily so it's better to have milk. But in your case, if theres no problem will arise, you can continue feeding your baby, but really needs supervision coz babies are vulnerable. I'm a mother, too, and i it's not easy if my baby will get ill because of food. So, i make sure that the food that i'm going to feed her is safe. And i think, it's safe for your baby..

Hi, First of all let me congratulate you on reaching the 100th post...Plese be informed that it is not goodto spoon feed the child of an age of 2 months that time she must gett maximum mother's milk.because it contails all the engergy that she needs at this age...Thankyou
