I have lived with the practice of brushing of tongue when i brush my teeth since childhood. So it's a habit i have learnt from childhood, but as i became hooked at the practice and justify it because it became avidence to me that the tongue sucks some oilly substance from every food i eat. the oilly substance also attracts other food subsatnces. Naturally food subsatnces exposed for some time grows sour either in the mouth or in the pot. Therefore when i brush the remove thses articles before they grow sour or when they have grow sour in the mouth, my moth will still give out a sour smell if i dont brush my tongue. I therefore use to it as a strong reason to support my childhood habit of brushing my tongue each time i brush my teeth. What i achieved from it is staying fresh all the time. I brush the tongue whenever it becomes neccessary to brush the teeth.

And that is a very good practice my friend. Many people brush their teeth but never their tongue. You are right there is still bacteria residing in the mouth on the tongue and by brushing it you can control bad breath.
