I got this in my email today and thought I'd share. It has a lot of truth to it and I have to wonder what you think of it. Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table At which he's fed. Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes Are the rule. Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat. Tax his ties, Tax his shirt, Tax his work, Tax his dirt. Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he Tries to think. Tax his cigars, Tax his beers, If he cries, then Tax his tears. Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways To tax his ___. Tax all he has Then let him know That you won't be done Till he has no dough. When he screams and hollers, Then tax him some more, Tax him till He's good and sore. Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he's laid. Put these words upon his tomb, "Taxes drove me to my doom..." When he's gone, Do not relax, Its time to apply The inheritance tax. Accounts Receivable Tax Building Permit Tax CDL license Tax Cigarette Tax Corporate Income Tax Dog License Tax Federal Income Tax Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA) Fishing License Tax Food License Tax, Fuel permit tax Gasoline Tax (42 cents per gallon) Hunting License Tax Inheritance Tax Interest expense Inventory tax IRS Interest Charges IRS Penalties (tax on top of tax) L1quor Tax Luxury Taxes Marriage License Tax Medicare Tax Property Tax Real Estate Tax Service charge taxes Social Security Tax Road usage taxes Sales Tax Recreational Vehicle Tax School Tax State Income Tax State Unemployment Tax (SUTA) Telephone federal excise tax Telephone federal universal service fee tax Telephone federal, state and local surcharge taxes Telephone minimum usage surcharge tax Telephone recurring and non-recurring charges tax Telephone state and local tax Telephone usage charge tax Utility Taxes Vehicle License Registration Tax Vehicle Sales Tax Watercraft registration Tax Well Permit Tax Workers Compensation Tax Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids. So what are your thoughts about taxes?

My thoughts are that the Federal Tax on our income is illegal and unconstitutional. The supreme court even ruled that in 1918 and once or twice after that. I recently watched a good documentry on it called America: From Freedom to Fascism. Some of the things were a little out there but the part about the Federal Tax was eye opening. I even learned that the IRS is not even owned my our government but it's actually is 'privatly' owned. Taxes (at least federal taxes) are stealing. Some things we should have taxes on. Like state taxes to keep up our road ways, ect. But some are useless. At least to me. But then again I don't pay $300 in taxes a year and then at the end of the year I don't get $4K back.

I'm so sick of being taxed for everything. The reason gas is so high in the U.S. is because of the high taxes placed on each gallon. The politicians are so corrupt. Here in New Jersey we have some of the highest taxes in the United States even though we have casino gambling, horse racing, lotteries, toll roads, toll bridges and more. If the revenues from all this isn't enough, then we need to cut our spending. They need to stop taxing the hell out of us. Lloyd

I agree. I can understand some taxes but all the ones they hit us with. Every time we turn around a tax is being used or being added in. Enough already and let us keep some of our money.

Boy that is about the truth! Everywhere you look and everything you do seems to have a tax attached to it! I do not feel I am getting my fair share of whatever the taxes are supposed to be paying for -- I'm paying and paying and paying daily, but where are all the benefits for me? lol I hope we can do something to not only reduce the taxes but the cost of everything - costs just keep going up, and salaries are in no way keeping up with them. A lot has changed in 100 years that's for sure!

That's for sure. I can't believe some of the changes that have happened. It has to make you wonder if all this progress is good or not. Somethings were better back then.

We should have kept the Gold Standard. But seriously, God asks for only 10%, and He is God - why should the government ask for any more? : )

And we wonder about the Boston Tea party? I could definitely see what would happen if the American public rebelled against all this taxation without representation now! How many of these taxes have we truly VOTED on? I'd venture to say close to none if any!!!!! I know locally they're doing it constantly. And like it or not it IS taxation without representation. We never get a say on any of it.
