Changing IP address for Linux machine

all you have to do is that you have to type a command in the terminal . the command is ifconfig the command will list you the interface cards so you will now you can set the ip for example let us take the interface card name is eth0 ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.1 this is the way how you can change the ip of your linux box
