A Scrapbook Birthday

As most of you know from earlier posts my daughter's birthday is coming up at the end of this month. I think I've finally figured out what we are going to do for it. She's inviting 4 of her girl friends. We are going to take a walk around town and I'm going to get pictures of them playing. We'll go by the drugstore and I can get the pictures printed out for a good price on the Kodak machine there. We'll walk back to my place and the girls can sit at the table with the craft supplies and each make a scrapbook page of themselves while I cook up noodles for the spaghetti sauce that will have been cooking in the slow cooker. We'll clean up the crafts. Have dinner and cake and that'll be that. Instead of an official goody bag they'll have their crafts and the supplies to make them to bring home. Well, that's my plan anyways. I'm going to run it by my girl when she gets home from school today.

I think that sounds like a great idea. They'll love spending that time together playing and creating their lay-outs. Just one suggestion though, the guests might be looking forward to some party food when they arrive, so maybe pack a few things like fairy bread and lollies to take with you while you're out. That will leave plenty of time for the food to go down before you serve dinner. Hope your daughter has a great birthday :)
