Another arrest at drug house Feb 28 2007 Continued surveillance of a known drug house led to yet another arrest Thursday night after Kamloops police charged a woman with two outstanding warrants. At approximately 8 p.m., officers observed Patricia Ann Wallick, 45, standing outside a Chestnut Avenue residence and moved in after it was determined she had outstanding warrants from Kamloops and Vancouver. When searched, police found on Wallick seven grams of what was “believed to be cocaine.” Wallick became combative on arrest and was held overnight. She has been charged with assault of a police officer and possession of a controlled substance. Wallick was arrested outside the same Chestnut Avenue residence that was the scene of the dramatic drug raid on Feb. 17. The culmination of more than five months of investigation, the raid netted investigators 3.2 kilos of cocaine (valued at $240,000), 728 pot plants (worth $365,000), $40,000 in cash, 3 handguns and a shotgun. How would you feel about this? This woman watched my daughter several months ago.

Hmmm... I think this sort of event will serve as a lesson for all of us who has kids or will have kids. Before letting our kids be watched by a nanny or someone similar, it would be wise to make, at least, a little background check. I'll be having my first soon, and I will keep this in mind. Lesson learned.

I would be so shocked if that happened to me. I hope this person only cared for your children once or twice, because I hate to think of what they may have been exposed to. I would be so upset, and that woman would never have the opportunity to be near any of my kids again. And whoever recommended that person for childcare duties should get an earful. If I were you, I would definately be upset, and I would stay far away from that woman. You must have been so shocked.
