Not all men yield to temptations that easily although by and large they have a tendency to do so and this is equally true with women when exposed to the same circumstances. Focus has always been to the men but nowadays things are changing, women who are committing adultery are also carried by the media and social conventions are changing. That being said, adultery in whatever aspect is not acceptable. People who are committed to another person should do their best to avoid relationships outside of the marriage.

Society has always tended to have a double standard when it comes to adultery. Even today some societies still feel that it is natural for men to have "mistresses" and other women outside of his marriage, whereas a woman who did this would be labeled as bad. In the U.S. I think that things are pretty equal when it comes to cheating. Both men and women are wrong when they cheat, and there are no religious or cultural beliefs to excuse the men. I feel that cheating is wrong under any circumstances for both the man and the woman. If people do not want to be married or in a relationship, then they should be honest and live as single people.
