Upcoming race in Vegas.

I'm in the fantasy pool at Yahoo with a small group of my husband's co-workers. With the next race being at a completely reconfigured Vegas I have nothing to base my choices for the driver picks for this race. As a general rule I'd use past races at the track. What would you use to make picks for drivers? Did any teams test on the new track? What existing track is the new Vegas similar to? I'd certainly appreciate any input that would make my choosing a little easier.

I would go to www.racingone.com and look at stats from last year at a similar track. They have alot of good info on drivers, races and tracks. Under statistics you can pick which year and the nit will display what you're looking for. This year has been crazy already which makes it harder to pick. Hope this helps!

Those stats are available right from Yahoo when I pick my drivers. I was really wondering what track you thought the new configuration resembled. Thanks for replying though.

NASCAR had a tire test there in January. Most of the teams tested there, but I never really heard any of the results except that Greg Biffle hit the wall hard. As far as I know, it's still like Charlotte, Atlanta and Texas, just has a new surface and more banking in the turns than it used to have. The Roush and Hendrick teams will be strong. RCR is having a good season, so they would be safe picks. Mark Martin is a wise veteran who does well no matter where they are. I'm not sure how many drivers you get to pick, but here are the five I'd put at the top: Mark Martin Matt Kenseth Jeff Gordon Jimmy Johnson Jeff Burton

All those drivers except for Mark Martin are in the top group and you only get one of them (well 2 before qualifying). I'll probably pick MM for one of the 2 drivers from the next group (again 4 before qualifying). For the last group it's usually a toss up at this point between Yeley, Sorenson and Green and it's just a crap shoot (no pun intended) as to which amongst them finishes better. I certainly appreciated your input.
