Only very few women who had live-in-relationships, have turned from friend to lover and married each other. Most of them have either remained unmarried or got shunted from one man to another. As the age advances, they become restless and miserable due to loneliness and absence of a committed companion on whose shoulder they could lean upon for solace. This is the trend of live-in-relationship. Feeling of being ditched and betrayed when, after few years of staying together, a woman falls in one side love with the man of live-in-relationship and foregoing her either view of never marrying, now desires to marry the man but the man refuses to marry her considering her as a woman of loose morals. If the marriage does take place between them, the divorce rate among such persons is very high. Another thing is getting pregnant and nursing a child without legal father is difficult and lifelong embarrassment. Because of liberal attitude and no bindings on either of them, in live-in-relationship, intimate relationship with multiple friends make one prone to AIDS and STD. Among numerous disadvantages in live-in-relationship, these are few major disadvantages. However, there are also advantages, but they are being faded with those. So, do you think these disadvantages should be legalized? Lastly, I can say, the women who choose to stay in this relationship, are causing on themselves self-inflicted injury with its adverse consequences.

There are definitely pros and cons regarding this issue but I stand on the against side. Live-in relationship should not be legalized because it promotes low morale. I do believe that when a couple love each other then they should be committed. That commmitment means marriage.
