To be a father is a great pride. I agree that to be a good father is not easy. But it is not too difficult also. All you have to do is to set a good example yourself. It is also an opportunity in one's life to change their lifestyle and habits. We talk very highly of people who lead and set examples. A father does it everyday. He is the role model for his child. And if a child grows up to be a good citizen it is the achievement of the father. The mother usually gives love and affection to the child. But it is in the father's hands to make the child grow into a respectable adult. For every child at some stage of life, the father becomes a role model to follow. If the father understands this and behaves properly, then he has done the greatest thing of bringing into this society a worthy person. So being a father is something to be proud of, something to be cherished. It is an opportunity given to each one of us men to be a leader, a role model, an example. All men of the world should make proper use of it. If the fathers of the world could take time off their work and other activities to see that his child grows up to be a well behaved person, half the problems of this world will cease to exist. It is in the hands of each and every father to make the future world a pleasant one to live in.

I believe the biggest mistake would be to try and be a good father. You either are, or you aren't. I personally prefer to show my kids who I really am, and leave the outcome to the flower in the bed or the lamppost at the corner.

to be a father is one of the best thing that would happen to a man to see the fruit of his own. you dont have to regret because you are now a father. You have to be more resposible in life because you are now a father.

Not even for a second, I think become a father is the single best thing I have ever done in my life followed by graduatiing college and it means even more to me being a single father because i have to one to praise but my self, I did have a little help from family and friends along they way but still I carried a lot on my shoulders for many years.

Do not regret it. You are blessed with this responsibility because as a parent, every day that goes by you are getting stronger, learning SO much, and experiencing wonderful things. Being a father or mother is like finding a magical potion that teaches them lessons, makes them stronger, and gives them something to care for that is more important than anything else in the world. being a good father is about learning, understanding, and trying. Take it as a blessing and a chance for you to become a better person for years to come.
