When you are selling items on bbs' , and a person asks for your paypal address, showing interest. Then they don't bother coming back on, nor do they send payment for the item. Lately this has happened to me more often than not, and I refuse to take something down until the person sends me the money. Far as I am concerned, if you commit to a sale you should come through with it ASAP not make the person wait all day for payment.

Yest, it bothers me greatly. I have experienced this a lot with selling cloth diapers. My first experience with selling was with slings, mei tais, pouches, etc. I sold dozens of baby carriers on www.thebabywearer.com and I had a wonderful experience there. Every single time someone expressed an interest and asked me for my paypal addreses, they payed in a timely fashion. I guess I was spoiled from that. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the slings are considerabley more expensive than diapers? Then I decided I wanted to change our stash of diapers from pockets to all natural organic fitteds and wool and I started selling lots of diapers. Plus, we had a hard time finding fitteds that worked well for his body type so I had to sell off a lot of those as well. It happened to me constantly. I would have someone say they wanted to buy and ask for my paypal addy. Then after I emailed them my paypal address I'd wait and wait. In the meantime, I'd get several more emails from people who wanted to buy the dipes but I'm in limbo because I don't want to sell it to someone else and then have the other person paypal me for a double sale. Then the original person would back out and when I went to the other interested parties they had already moved on to other items and I have to start from scratch. It is really tiring. I don't think I have the energy and time to deal with it and keep selling diapers. www.cottonbabies.com has a program where you can send them certain dipes and they'll pay you for them. It isn't as much as I could get by selling on diaperswappers or the diaper pin but at least I wouldn't have to deal with the headache. I'm considering doing that with what is left of my pockets.

I wish I could do that with Cottonbabies, but they don't ship to Canada. And yeah, I have gone through so much stress since I started selling cloth diapers on DS ...I mean I am always worrying if people are going to get their items, and then when people say they haven't (which really you don't know if they are out to scam you or not, because everyone there knows you can't get DC to the US from Canada!) then you have to fight with your PO over it. Its a mess. My dh actually said I should stop this all together, and enjoy the diapers we have, which I might very well do. I deal with a couple of people on the boards who do customs for us, and thats it.
