does making friends here on mylot realy work???

i have been a myloter for some time now and have tried making friends despite making money via discussions but have found out that every one is geared towards making money and not even looking at any ones face as regards to meeting people and socializing with them is it realy good? and how much have you tried to make a friend here on mylot

I haven't tried very hard, but I have found some people who are friendly and I have regular conversations with...through discussions, but I think that we're building relationships through our interactions. Or maybe I'm just naive...that's probably it.
