Chemo just makes you die a little slower and in more pain

Everyone I know who has battled cancer has gotten worse after starting chemotherapy, and died right about the same time as one would if they went untreated. Their lives before death are also a lot more painful and miserable when they are "treated." I turned down chemo in 1978, and I'm still around, playing golf and softball if I want to! So much for medical science.

You should not say this... You did say in a previous post that you were wrongly diagnosed with cancer... and that you did not had it. That is why you are here talking about it. While chemo is a very nasty thing and does make you very sick for a year or so... it does prolong your life by about 15 years if the cancer is caught in its early stage. But I agree with you that once you had cancer... it has the nasty habit of coming back. It is a question of how long you want to hang on to life and how much you are prepare to fight to live... most people don't want to die... no matter what.

No, I did (and likely still) have some kind of cancer but I did not allow them to explore further and recommend specific chemo or radiation therapies. They did say I was sure to die from it soon, but that proved wrong and that's where their diagnosis and prognosis went seriously wrong. I walked away from medicine forever after that. Even now I know I have some kind of condition, probably cancerous, but since I have never allowed aggressive treatments I have never had full-blown symptoms. I have occasional weaknesses, nothing more. As for cancer coming back, it seems to come back with a vengence once a chemo regimen has been discontinued. Treatment causes needless additional suffering which I have not yet chosen to endure.

I'm 22 and i consented to chemo because i am young and was healthy except for the recent diagnosis of lymphoma.... here i am 4 m0nths later in remission and doing fine... I think it really depends sometimes it is too late for ant treatments.
