whats with all of the "gangsta" styles, such as jeans around your ankles and t-shirts that drag the floor? i really dont understand it

if you must know, its a part of hip hop culture..this style of dress originated in jail..they didnt wear belts in jail and it caused everyone to wear pants that sag..as far as the tshirts are concerned its the same thing..down south, guys wear big shirts and the trend found its way to the east coast..its just a fashion statement
