How do I open my Dell Inspirion

Hi All can anyone help me - I have a dell inspirion and it has stopped working now. I have read a few websites and they all seem to say that it is a loose connector. How do I open up the laptop? I have taken off all of the screws but the cover is not coming off easily and I do not want to break it
