It doesn't matter if the boy or the girl is the one that should propose. Its the feeling that counts. As long as you felt the feeling, no one could stop you in proposing the feelings that you felt to the person that you love .Sometimes we are dictated by the rules of our culture. Upon analyzing it, we should learn that their is no general rule. And the culture that we are depending on is only the culture dictated by a group of people. As a person you can also set your own style, own culture to make. and it depends upon you if the rule that you have set works. It depends upon the persons style if who will lead the line.

I don't think it matters. I think whoever feels they want to get married should propose. Especially in a relationship that is already long-term, I don't think woman should be afraid to take that step. It's possible that the guy is putting it off because he's afraid she'll say no, or because he doesn't know how to do it, or any other number of reasons. I don't see why the pressure of proposing should always be on the male.

It's not important who will be the first to propose. as long as they love each other so much and their relationship are good there is nothing to be question who will be the first...

I had this discussion with my boyfriend of how he would feel if I proposed. He said he didn't want me to take that away from him. I kinda wear the pants in the relationship a bit much, and proposing would just cross the line a bit. Hahahaha. However I hear more and more women doing the proposing. :)
