Does your dog talks?

I used to plant vegetable besides the wire fence. Over the fence I often notice my neighbours's puppy which used to play around quietly. But at certain times it will rushes towards me, trying to climb over the fencing and barking loudly to me with its tail wiping vigorously. At first I just ignored it and thinking that it was quite normal for a young playful puppy. Later I came to realize that its peculiar behaviour did carry some meaning. I find out whenever its owner coming home from outside it will rush towards me, barking happily as if to tell me that its master has coming back. I wonder whether its peculia behavior really means this. How about your opinion?

If one day it happened that another dog come to your place and say hello to your puppy but your puppy just keep quiet. Do you know that why your puppy has no response?

Hmm...I know dog barks, that's the way they communicate. They can't talk the way we do. I believe, dogs are trying to communicate with you and that's the way he do it by barking as if you can understand him. I can say, that the dog likes you. Is the master of the dog a girl?(",) If it is, then there is more meaning to it.

Yeah i do agree with your view that the dog like me. The master of the dog is an 70 odd old man. What significance does its carry if the master is a girl????

Opps, my mistake. What I mean is that if the master of the dog is a man then, the dog likes you for his master. Don't you think so?(",)

Dogs really are very intelligent creatures and everything they do has some psychological significance.. i had a dog who used to practically understand everything.. at times he used to react very excitingly.. jumping around like anything but at times he used to ignore me as if saying what rubbish are you talking.. or that you are nuts... :-) Once i was out for 4 days and he really missed me .. my neighbour just said that see bhawna is back and he rushed to the door bumping into everything that came in his way... Once i was in school and at home he met an accident in which he got hurt and was bleeding.. he was normal till then , but when i returned and he looked at me he came running to me and lied in my legs.. rubbing himself against me and made a lot of cooin sound and started crying with tears as if he was telling me that what had happened to him.. he wouldn't even let me go to the kitchen to get some alum to rub on his wound.. i just sat down there holding him in my embrace and he lied there for hours in my lap... and there are many such incidents. Dogs do say meaningful things.. :-)

I don't have a dog, but I have two cats that communicate with me. They both like to go outdoors, so the older one will "knock" on the door until we let her in or out. the second one will go to the door and give a loud yowl until we open the door. They both also meow when we let them in. It's just so funny. They also let me know when their foor/water bowls are empty and when the litter box is filled. Sometimes It's like I'm Little Timmy asking "Lassie? What is it girl?" :)

I agree with you, haohao looks really cute and lovely when he says good bye to you. I could see your snowy white poodle with his head moving to the right, sitting on the doorstep to greet good bye with his unique style. I do love him at the first sight, and I hope I were to have the chance to have a fond embrace with him.

my poodle saying good bye to us - Each time we leave home, our poodle would say goodbye to us with his head moving to the right side, so cute. We love him very much.
Hello dear lkbooi. We got a very beautiful poodle from my brother-in-law. It came to us when it was only half a month old. Now it has been fours months old. I love it very much because it loves to always shake its tiny tale whenever it sees us coming back home from outside. We call it haohao, which means that everything is in good order and prospective. Haohao has brought us a lot of pleasurement. He understands what we talk to him when we talk to him, so clever. He loves very much to put its tiny legs on my knee whenever I sit down in the living room. Each time when we leave our apartment, it would say goodbye to us with its head moving to the right side because of the direction of the opening and closing of the door. When we have guests come for a visit, it feels shy and would hide somewhere behind the big mirror outside the door or bark when it feels scared with something or someone it is not familiar with. You see, in fact, dogs are very human and are in fact our good friends if they are well treated. Thanks for this discussion that I can relate to and I will continue my search in the jungle for the princess. hehe. Have a good day, dear lkbooi.

Hi jisir, from the attached image I can see how cute and lovely your little poodle is. I couldn’t help thinking of hugging it. I could imagine how impressive the moment is when the little haohao wagging its tiny tail earnestly to welcome his master back to home. Yeah, it is so cute to see little haohao with its head moving to the right to say goodbye to you. I love dogs but I don’t have spare time to take care of them so I just keep some stuffed dogs which I don’t have take much care of them. Ok my dear friend, carry on your fantastic journey. Happy posting and bye now.

I definetly think that they communicate in their own ways, My dog will bark to get you throw the ball, and if you ignore him, he will softly grab your arm and take you to his toy.

You are absolutely right. Dog have their own way of communication. I admire that you have a cute dog which can play with you :) Actually the dog i mentioned above is my neighbour's, the strange thing here is that it will bark at me whenever it's master is back to home. I believe it is trying to tell me something, it could be telling me happily his master is back. Thanks for your response.

May be you need some time to 'communicate' with your dog. I believe animal with some intelligence (eg like dog, parrot, dolphin, pig) do have their own thinking and have some way of communications. You might possibly have missed it out :) Thanks for your response.

From what I have read from your post, it does seem very odd for it to come to you in such a hurry. It mostly wants to play with you since it is just playing alone quietly like you said. Dogs to tend to just move about for no apparent reason and just want some attention like us human beings. Another point for the fact that the dog runs to you when the owner is coming back is because it is scared. By this i mean, maybe the owner has yelled at the dog for digging in the garden or something like that so the dog is scared and wants your comfort. Otherwise the dog would not really bother with you and just go to the owner. Unless the dog just likes you. This is just my own opinion.

You brought up good points indeed. I did observed that his master yelled at it sometimes, as if reprimanding it for being too naughty. I think the dog likes me too, coz i always smile at it and calling it's name "little Poppy" :) Thanks for your response.
