Switching a cigarette brand is like quiting...

I've been smoking for eleven years now. And in those eleven years I got used to a specific brand of cigaretes. I guess almost everybody who smokes does. But if I have to smoke some other brand I tend to smoke one after another, 'till I get to the one I'm used to, then I stop. So if I had to switch to another brand I'd rather quit. I do have a second best brand for just in case, but I'd best describe it as emergency brand than a second best. The way I see it I have two addictions when it comes to smoking. The first is to a the cigaretes itself and the other is to my brand of them. How about you, if you smoke? And I know I'll qouit someday, I just hope it's not the illnes that gets me started...

Hehe I know what you mean. I had to switch brands not that long ago and it took me a few packs to adjust to it. Actually I found I liked them better but I know in the past I've had to pick up a pack because I was out and that can be plain miserable. I have a few brands I can smoke but for the most part I just stick with my Romy's. Thankfully there are a few stores have them in the area otherwise I'd be hard pressed to find them since they are a generic.
