Yes I have some souix blood.Actually Hunk Papa.My grandfather 8 generations back was a cavalry officer sent to Canada to bring a band of hunk papa indians back to the states to the reservation when they would loose their pride, culture, and have to give up their children to be educated the white ways. While traveling with the band he found an indian gal that he couldn't forget. After finishing his tour of duty he returned to ask for this wonderful girl.He married her .Her name was wildflower but most people called her Lily.He brought her back to ny where 2 of their children was born then they returned to Canada where more indian blood of other tribes became part of my ancestry. They settled up along the St Lawerence.Generations later my parent's,parents moved to NY and became Americans around.I probably have more indian blood then white but our family has always been considered white.I was in my teens before I even knew I had any indian ancesters.I'm still researching but I do know I am related to a great native american man who is well known and did alot for the people.
