At what age did they start? How long did it take them to learn not to swallow it?

My middle one was 5 & her sister was 7. They learned right away not to swallow them gum. They either throw it away or give it to me & I put it in a wrapper to be thrown away.

I never give gum to my 2 year old. My eldest started at 3. He never did swallow the gum. He learned to spit it out when he get all the sweetness out.

I hate gum chewing, and will not allow it in my house, it's annoying and ends up on the floor. My son is 5, he is allowed to chew gum ONLY if he's playing outside, he has never swallowed it. And knows to spit it out in a piece of paper and toss in the outside garage before stepping foot in my house.

My mom got my 2 year old on chewing gum hehe. HE never swollows it and can chew on it for hours, its kinda funny. He gets it outta those blowpop lolly pops. I dont mind because he never swollows it. Mom told him it was for chewing not swollowing, and he never did. Kinda funny like that.
