When do you think babies are ready for food?

I started mine a little bit of cereal when they were 3-4 months old....

I think when the baby starts showing sign that they are ready for it, like trying to grab at the food you're eating. hope this helps, also how old is the baby?

Thanx for the input. I ask cus my son is not interested in food. He'll grab for it but once it is in his mouth he gags on it and spits it out with whatever milk was in his stomach. He's 8 months old now. My neighbor was telling me to force feed him, but (besides the fact that I don't believe in that) I don't see a point in it if he is gonna gag on it.

at six months, baby can now start to eat solid foods..

I m not a femlae but according to doctors after 6 months ur baby must start solid foods . not so much hard as adults use to.

My son is 9 mos. (will be 10 months in 4 days) and he is eating some solids. He started stage 1 baby food at 5 months, at 7 months he was eating stage 2, and at 9 months he was eating stage 3 which has chunks in it. I started giving him mashed table food and he is doing well. Hope this helps.
