Hello, everyone. I am looking for some ideas. What do you do to regroup when you are in that "funk" from overload, or just day to day same old same old...I need some ideas.

i go window-shopping by myself. it gives me the time i need for myself, and ironically, it gives me time to think about things.

That's one of my favorite things to do. Just window shopping gives me lots of ideas and quiet time. I think maybe I just have a bad case of cabin fever!

I take the day off and go somewhere. Today I went to Toronto.

That's a good way to get a new perspective or refocus; if you're in a position to do that. Thank you.

Well what I try to do is go somewhere different for overnight if possible. I love nature and wildlife so I often drive to the wooded parts of my state and stay overnight in a cabin or motel or inn. Not expensive just someplace to be alone with my thoughts and all of the everyday worries. Some times a friend or two will come along and we just sit up chatting and playing games all night...it's just a little get away but can be very rejuvinating.

That's a very good idea! There are always new places to discover, aren't there?

when I am overloaded with stress, worries and the drama of the day there is nothing better for me then sitting down, cam myself and listening to music, soon I am forgetting what bother me as i think about the songs and they take me away from my worries and i am dancing or keeping the beat with the song. thats Just me I love music.

I love music too...and sometimes in the past, it really did just make everything "fade out". But it isn't always that way anymore. Someone really destroyed "music" for me in the last year. Sometimes, I can hardly bear to listen to it now. Music is great therapy, though! I've heard of it being used with comatose patients successfully; as well as others with chronic or terminal illnesses.

usually it only takes some good old tlc to recharge your energy. is there anything that yu really love to do. like a day out somewhere. the cinema, restaurant, friends, treat yourself to something new, it does not need to cost a lot but it is nice when we buy ourselves a treat. you may need to completely get away for a few hours, take the train into another town and sitesee. or just have a long lie in and then spend the day watching your favourite movies, switch off t he phone and jus chill out. usually a complete change of routine can help, so if you spend lot of time on the pc, don't go on it at all for a full24 hours, hard but sometimes necessary if you have burnout. try a day out in the country and drink in the peace and beauty. if you can afford it and have the time why not book into to a health farm for a couple of days, or visit a spa for a day and enjoy the treatments. then there is the good old stand bys, new haircut and colour, change of style of clothing ie always in jeans try skirts and dresses, change of makeup and jewellry. see if any of your friends are up for a night out and let your hair down and enjoy yourself.

Thanks for all the great ideas. Sometimes it helps to just have someone remind you of the simple changes that make a big difference!
