When I was young, I felt so inferior that I had a hard time keeping and making friends. I felt like that all the way till I started working. Then my former boss told me (this was also said in My Princess Diaries): "No one can make you feel inferior unless you let them." I always try to keep that in mind and so far that has helped increase my self-esteem. Do share a quotation or saying that has helped you through difficulties in life.

i hope others would also be inspired in this personal favorite: "If you think you are beaten, you are. If you think you dare not, you don't! If you want to win, but think you can't, it's almost a cinch you won't. If you think you'll lose, you're lost. For out in the world we find that success begins with a fellow's will. Life's battles don't always go to the stronger & faster man. but sooner or later the man who wins is the man who thinks he can."

This is another version that I also keep in mind "No one can hurt you without your consent. It is our willing permission, our consent to what happens to us, that hurts us far more than what happens to us in the first place. If you're hurting, get on the path tohealing. Build your strength & move towards your hopes. The answer are there to search for & seek out." "Falling down doesn't make you a failure, but staying down does."

There's a Filipino saying: "Hindi ka bibigyan ng Diyos ng problema na di mo kakayanin". Loosely translated, it means: "God will not give you problems that you cannot handle." I always try to remember that when faced with the low points and problems in my life.

I like that quote. Another version of it is "nobody can take advantage of you without your permission." - Eleanor Roosevelt. I also like this quote from Gandhi - "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." I try to keep this in mind when I start feeling like a victim or when I think that "someone should do something about that" and realize that I'm the one who needs to do something. Not someone else.
