Do you rate and comment on photos? / myLot

I've rated a few photos here at myLot, but no one ever seems to look at or comment on them? (Weird thing, you can rate your own photos...) You'd think people, who generally like looking at pictures a lot more than at words, would like to comment on user posted photos :)

I didn't even realise you could rate pictures. I've posted quite a few, I wonder if any have been rated? Thanks for letting me know - now I'll go rate some pictures!

Ah, the thing is, you'll never know if someone rated it :P They could implement a ranking system for ratings, just like the user stars, but for topics, replies, photos...

Yes I've noticed that too. I've left a comment on a couple of profile pictures and there has been no response.I have also left comments on pictures uploaded with discussions and responses. Maybe they haven't seen it yet. I think its weird too that we can rate our own pictures..lol

Yes, I think that's part of the problem, nobody checks back to see if they're photo has been commented on... because nobody ever comments on photos. A VICIOUS CIRCLE! :o

Actually, I haven't rated any photos since I started in MyLot so I haven't given it much thought about rating my own or other's photos. I'm still working on trying to download pictures so I can post them. But, I'm seriously considering it, so thanks for the suggestion.

I never knew that we could rate our own photos. I don't often look at other peoples photos but whenever I think of it I always rate them if I think they are good. I have tried to rate others and leave a comment but I wan't allowed to because they weren't on my friends list.

That's a good point! It's a little odd that you can only comment on friends' photos? I wonder why? Rating our own photos might be a glitch (someone forgot to check something, somewhere)? At least that's what I thought...
