Help.... my friend has just rang and her 18 month old daughter is constipated again, this has been an ongoing problem with her and started when she was just a few months old. No help from the Dr that she sees and most of all of our friends kids are teenagers and none of us are realy able to give any helpful advice to combat and stay on top of the problem. She eats plenty of fruit and veges and water and juice so we are at a loss to explain this as even Coloxal drops arnt realy helping. Im after any oldwives tales, recipies, concoctions or potions, even foods to avoid, anything to help this poor little lassie out. She's in terrible pain and wont sleep and is just very unhappy any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

I would look at foods most deff! Bannanas back you up big time, if shes eating rice ceral that backs you up too. A few things that help with the constipation issues, prune juice, pear juice, apple juice( and their fruits) pineapples ( help digest food easier) Papaya ( again digestion aids) If shes drinking milk, what kind of milk? Cows milk can help with constipation as well, we dont digest it well so it kinda runs through us. I know a few others but cant think of them, let me look them up and ill be back!

Foods high in fiber are what really help move things along, here is a list of some foods that are high in fiber. Veggies. Cooked. Aspagus, Beans, Broccoli, Brussle sprouts, cabbage, carrots, kale, parsnips, peas ( LOTS OF FIBBER HERE) Potato in skin ( sking counts big time) Uncooked Bean sprouts, celery, cucumber, lettus, spinich and tomato. Fruits high in fiber Apple in skin is really high. Apricots, blueberries, oranges, cherries, grapefruit, grapes, peach, raisens raspberries, watermellon, strawberries, Legums are one of the best ones, highest fiber content. bakedbeans, tomato sause, dried beans, kidney bean, lentils, limabeans, navy beans. All contain more then 4 grams of fiber per serving up to 8 grams. A few other foods. Rhy bread, wheat spegetti noodles. Anyway i hope that helped a bit. Maybe picking some foods off of the list of things high in fiber wil help her to feel better. Poor thing :( Good luck!

As eighteen month old child it is better to go with the naturopathy instead of anema stomach wash. By evening start with olive oil soaked naturally ripened banana as per babys easy eatable bits through mouth. This may be swallowed or smashed with teeth. Orelse use the maximum consumption of jaggerine namely the previous product of sugar.
