why do we love cats are they the best possible PET to keep..

post people everytime love cats and they are sweet to look at and our family keeps this pet the only reason in the beginning was to clear the Rats but now its part of our family and we have fun with it playing with so is it with all i guess..but i heard during pregnancy time in that house we should not have a CAT wats ur view abt Cats please share i will be thankful to u

Cats are really just beautiful as a pet. But you can not compare a cat as a pet to a dog as a pet. Cats are more elegant, easy to keep and easily available, so, it is adopted more as a pet in comparison to dog.
And there is no relation with pregnancy and pet cats. It may be just another superstition related with cat but there is no real base.
My friend has five to six cats in his house yet his sister-in-law gave birth to a healthy baby only one year back.

thanks a ton i am very happy to get the info u gave me as always i used to think if cat at home it will be a problem if somebody is pregnant as always i had heard from elders and others that it leads to miscarriage so that nice and any idea wats the price of a persian cat

It was once said that a cat will climb into the baby crib and soffucate the baby trying to get at the milk it smells on the babies bbreath. It may have happened at one time or another somewhere or it may be an urban legend or old wives tail. Also the cats urine has substance or bacteria or something that can cause a pregnant woman to get an infection. This is true so a pregnant woman should not clean the kitty litter or she should use gloves and wash well after. I had cats at home when I had my children and my sister has just had her 3rd and she has had her cat through 2 of her pregnancies. As with any animal just be cautious and be careful about cleanliness and enjoy. The cat may be jealous at first but show the cat love and that the baby is family too and enjoy!
