Cat Free to Good Home

We have a wonderful 2-year-old cat, to which my 2-year-old son has become allergic. Since we aren't getting rid of the son, we need to find a new home for our quirky piece of joy. He's a marmalade short hair with no sense of self-preservation, likes to lay wherever he wants regardless of what is going to squash him. He's scared to go outside but curious about it, so he goes about 2 feet out the door and then freezes. We have him trained to use the flushable scoopable cat litter. His name (for now I guess) is S.P. short for Shadow Pouncer. Laser pointers and toy mice don't stand a chance against him. He goes psycho if given catnip though. He's very protective of our two-year-old and sees him as a brother. It would be good but not required that the new home have kids too. So, if you want a great cat companion and live in the Austin metroplex, respond here and we can set up an interview.
