My wife is a wonderful cook and she prepares the most delicious and healthy meals. You might wonder how that is possible, but she manages to do it and we are very healthy and slim. She does it by making sure that we don't eat any fattening or high cholesterol ingredients. She uses little salt and only the best seasonings. She prepares wonder soups, chicken, and fish meals. We eat a lot of salads and fruits. Please share with us your tasty and healthy recipies.

I would like to share with you the recipe of wheatflour cake which I make often. Take 1cup wheat wheatflour, add 3/4 tsp soda-bi-carbonate to it and seive it thrice. Add some dates and other dry fruits to it. Keep aside. Now in another vessel, take 1 cup cooking oil, add to it 1cup sugar. Mix it alternately with wheat flour,1 cup milk and 2 eggs. Mix it well. Preheat the oven on high. Grease your baking dish with oil and dust it with flour. Now just before you add the cake batter to the baking dish, grate 1 cup heap carrot and add it to the batter. Bake the cake at 250 deg Centigrade for half an hour. [Grated carrot is added in the end because carrot tends to leave water, thus making the batter very dilute.]

We like a lot of salads in our house. One favorite is made with fresh baby spinach or hearts of romaine, diced apples, walnuts or almonds or pine nuts, crumbled gorgonzola cheese or freshly grated italian blended cheeses and served with a balsamic vinaigrette. The other is a tomato and mozarella salad. Slice fresh tomatoes and toss with a little black pepper, sea salt (just a little), basil, oregano and olive oil. Layer on top of the tomato slices pieces of fresh mozarella and then sprinkle with balsamic vinegar. It's wonderful and all seasoning can be done to your taste. Dry basil and oregano is fine but fresh is superb! :-)

Quinoa sushi Keen to try low-fat, organic cooking? Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat's recipe for quinoa sushi is a treat. INGREDIENTS 1 cup quinoa 2 cups water 1 pinch sea salt 2 tbsp mirin 1-2 tbsp tahini 2 tbsp rice vinegar 3 sheets nori seaweed 1 medium avocado, sliced into long slivers 1 medium to large carrot, sliced into long strips 3mm thick 1 continental cucumber 1 red capsicum METHOD * Rinse quinoa seeds well, like you would do a sushi rice, (to remove any bitter residue from the husk). * Place in a pot with water and salt, cover and bring to the boil. * Reduce heat and simmer until all the liquid is absorbed. * Remove from heat and stir in mirin and vinegar. Cool, add tahini to help the grain stick together. * Proceed as you would for regular sushi making, by placing a nori sheet on a bamboo mat. Spread quinoa over 2/3 of sheet. Place sliced long strips of vegetables down the centre, roll and squeeze tight. One roll should give you 6-8 pieces. Mix should make 2-3 rolls depending on how thick you make them. Per serve: energy 257 kj, 62 cals; protein 2g; fat 2g; carbohydrate 8g.

its nice. but simply getting diets out of cholesterol is not the only important thing the main thing is the balanced diet wchich she gives u. nature is in balance. our body is a part of our mother nature. so if we have to keep ourselves fit we have to keep ourselves in balance. so a balanced diet is a sufficient anecdote for a healthy body
