my mother tongue is hindi and there r many ways to ask that:)--- Aap kaise/kaisi hain(polite/formal) tum kaise/kaisi ho(informal) kya haal hai?

Well living in the USA of course "how are you" works but then sometimes slang slips into it, and it can be "hows it going" or "how ya doin' " and it can come out sounding like "how yah dew in" though that is the way it sounds it is spelled the first way. It should be spelled doing, but often the g gets dropped when people talk to fast. so the "hows it going" could be with the dropped g also.

In Portuguese from Portugal we say: Como estás? In Brazilian Portuguese we say: Como vai você?

Well, neither of these is my native language, but I knew them: "Comment allez-vous?" in french, "Kak dela?" in russian, and "Wie geht es Ihnen?" in german.

My first language is english so it's "How are you doing?" for me lol. My spouse is french so its "Comment ca va?" (pronounced kohmo-sah-vah) for how are you.
