Well I got zone alarm free with my internet connection. I didn't like it at all. I had a lot of trouble accessing sites with it. It wouldn't let me view many of them and no matter what I did with the settings it didn't matter. Also when I uninstalled it all I got then when I went onto the internet was their site. It had hijacked my browser because since I had uninstalled it that had to be hacker activitiy. I couldn't go anywhere but their site. I had to reinstall it and then uninstall it again to prove to it that yes I wanted it gone. I have never had that problem with Norton. I use it now only. It's great and catches things that many other anti-virus' haven't. I used some other free ones before and they didn't catch everything so ended up with some trouble from it. Norton lets me know when ever there is a problem and doesn't bog down my system at all. It just quietly work.
