Pulling kids teeth....

Pulling kids teeth - Do you pull your kid's teeth or do they pull them themselves?

Does anyone else here have to pull their kids loose teeth? My girls would let a tooth actually dangle and fall out before they will pull it!!! It drives me nuts! Thank goodness, my oldest has finally lost all of hers, but the youngest still has one more baby tooth to go. She had one yesterday that was just hanging there and would not pull it! Sometimes she'll let me pull them, but not very often.. she just waits till they fall out while she's eating . Thank goodness, yesterday, she let me pull the loose one. It came right out without having to yank it at all and hardly even bled! So, we're down to one more tooth! I can't wait till it's gone too! lol! She's such a baby about them! lol! Do you pull your kids' teeth or do they pull their own?

My kids are not old enough to have loose teeth, yet... But I have pulled a couple for my sister-in-law and for a friend of mines daughter. They just wouldn't pull it themselves and wouldn't let anyone else touch it. I'm known as the tooth puller now... LOL

Theeths aren't that easy to loose, at the beginning, it's a little painful, but if you try the "door pulling" method it should be ok.

LOL--- sounds like my daughter.. She is a baby about this too. Every time her tooth got lose- I would give her apples.. They seemed to help-- I always said come on let me pull it out- Nope-- She still has a few more to go too. Funny story- She went to the mall with my parents a couple months ago- She had a real lose tooth.. She kept showing my mom- but wouldn't let her get it- So in the middle of Joann Fabrics.. She opened her mouth and said look grandma- My mom was quick she reached in and got it- Right in the middle of the store- Her tooth went flying.. and my daughter cried!!!! My mom said a bunch of people came over to see if she was ok-- and my mom was on the floor looking for the darn tooth! LOL.. She'll never do that again! My daughter still talks about it- You'd have thought I killed her my mom said! Kids and there teeth! LOL

My son would pull them out himself when they were very loose. Having a loose tooth in his mouth really annoyed him. He would even try to get them out before they were ready to come out they bothered him so much! I guess he couldn't stand the feeling when he tried to eat or when his tounge touched the loose tooth. He lost some of those loose teeth while eating but most of them he pulled out. I know other parents who have had to pull out dangling teeth if they didn't fall out by bedtime for fear their children would choke on them in their sleep.

No it cant be your decision, it might hurt them so they will be the one to say mommy or daddy remove it for me.I think its their teeth.

Its better to pull it out for them because of the danger it might come out when they are sleeping or not aware ,then they might swallow it and choke on it , very dangerous .

When my children were younger, I would let it get really loose then I would hold it with a dry towel and yank it! For some reason they didn't mind and looked forward to it. I was fortunate I guess.

Yee! that what my kid would have done or I myself cause i will rather let it dangle and then just go off by itself. I cant remeber anybody pullinmg my teeth for me why its mine(HaHa). It will come out without the blood flowing. You must be hard to yank teeths off. It is beleived that if you dont let it come out by itself it will take more time before it grows back a replacement.

My younger brother is afraid of pulling out his baby tooth. He kept it dangling there and wouldn't let anyone touch it. He'll just play with it until it came off. Luckily it never fell when he was eating. Actually he was afraid of the blood and pain. When one came off while he was bathing, he just ran out crying with a bloody mouth. The poor guy was frighten. lol! Now he tells me there's another one starting to get loose. I hope he won't run out crying anymore.

I would let them fall out or their own. I know there would be the possiablity of them swallowing them and I would tell them about it. then if they wanted me to pull them i would. I only had one of mine pulled and that was because the dentist said it would be best if I did. It wasn't loose but I had one coming in and I was there so he did it for me. All my other ones came out by themselves.

I don't have any kids, but I always pulled my own teeth. I had a few teeth that had to be pulled out by the dentist because half of it broke off and the other half stayed in. It's good that she only has one more tooth. No more pulling teeth.

My mother pulled my teeth when i was younger using a thread. She even did the same thing to my sister but the difference is she tied the other end of the thread into the door. when my father pulled the door the tooth was pulled away. its a bit crazy but they actually did it!

I brought my son to the dentist to have them extracted. The reason being I am more wooried that the loose teeth never get losse completely, causing the adult teeth to grow into another positions. So far the result is OK, just that have to spend a little bit more.

I used to do it myself when I was still a small girl. My mother was too afraid to do it for me. I remember this story, I was eating an apple and after finishing the apple, I find that my loose tooth is already gone. I must have swallowed it. :P

I don't have kids can i use my little sisters instead?.Most of them tend to eat hard and chewwy food so that their tooth will loose a bit or got stuck on the food.Lol. But my uncle use a more old fashioned way to pull his kids teeth out.He merely just pull the tooth from their mouth in 1 pull.If it doesnt work, he just tie the teeth with a string and at the other string he tied it at the door.So close the door and off comes the tooth.Lol.
