solve this binary equation: X + under-root Y= 7 and under-root X + Y= 11.

i tried a bit i don't know wheteher it is right or wrong because i'm not a math student only interest on it thats why i'm doing please tell me after i answer it whether it is right or wrong x+under root y=7 under root x+y=11 x=4;y=9 4+3=7 2+9=11.
