I have a female friend who told me how she used to say this to her father over and over again when he would beat her. He abused her and her brother physically for many years and it pretty well destroyed her childhood. He was a mean drunk and they would try and hide from him when he was in one of his foul moods. I don't think she was all that sad when he passed away a few years ago. It makes you wonder how many other people out there suffered through parental abuse. It is just so horrific to imagine. Parents are the ones you go to for help. What do small kids do? Where do they go?

I believe the actual numbers of children suffer from parental abuse may be much greater thann expected .Because the children may not be mature enough to know what to do, or may be they are mature, but do not want to make the family collapsed by reporting it to the police,or they may think their father is a good guy when they are not drinking, they abuse them just because they get drunk.....If he quits drinking,, everythign will be fine...... Sometimes it may due to the bad relationship with their partners and the pent- up pressure is released toward their children. No matter what is the reason of the abuse, the children are innocent.......they cannot do anything but suffer from the bad experience of childhood forever
