Ever heard of a Pharm Party?

I just learned about a new kind of party that teenagers are throwing these days. It's called a Pharm Party. Which is short for Pharmaceutical Party. A bunch of kids get together and they bring all the drugs they can find from their homes. They include drugs like NyQuil and Aspirin. But they also include drugs like Vicadin, Valium and whatever else they can find from their homes. Since most teens aren't prescribed these drugs, they steal them from their parents. And then, they put all of the drugs into a bowl and mix them together. And then they proceed to take whatever they pick up out of the bowl. And they get very high by doing this. I can't believe that teenagers are being this dumb. They have got to know that they are threatening their own lives. And for what? A high? I'm just in shock that these parties take place. Do you have any thoughts on the subject? Is it the kids' fault or the parents for not keeping their drugs locked up? Have you ran into an issue like this with your teens before? If so, what did you do about it? I have a 2 year old daughter and it makes me very scared for her. I can't imagine the kind of stuff teens will be doing when she gets to that age. Our kids need to be more educated about the consequences that could happen.

I've seen something like that yeah. But we just can't predict what teens have in mind these days and on top of that, we can't even stop what they do. They seem to believe they can decide for their own. And i feel sad everytime i see this.

Wow!! Some people really ARE crazy!! I don't believe it. I think parents need to keep their medicine cabinets locked. I know kids need to take responsbility for their own actions, but parents also need to keep the medicine cabinets locked, and watch their kids more closely, to make sure they're not doing this stuff.

I think most parents don't lock their medications up because it probably never dawned on them that their kids would pull that kind of a stunt. More parents need to be aware that this kind of party does exist.

I have never heard about this before and i am shocked! Even in my years of rebelian i would NEVER i joined in something like this. Teenagers are find new and horrible ways to push the limits. They are so unaware of cause and affect no matter how much you drum it into them.
