About the prophecy..

I was posting something related to the prophecy that required me to go through it over and over again... and i ended up thinking this: Has the prophecy run its course? What this means is was the prophecy fulfilled or has it run its course without being fulfilled at all... indirectly failing. Why it might be fulfilled is the word used in the prophecy: "vanquish"... vanquish might be a fancy way to say "kill", but it's technically something different... it means coming out better or beating somebody at something... In that sense, maybe harry has already beaten voldemort when he was 1 year old... and AD inspite of knowing that has chosen to use the fact bcoz harry potter has some of voldemorts powers and also one which dark lordy knows not and is also the magical worlds last hope.
